Welcome to the forum.  Saddly to say, going to hobby lobby doesnt make you a real modeler.  You can apply to become one once you almost remove a finger, or some part of a finger, with either a razor blade, exacto knife, hobby saw, or dremel (almost scalped myself with mine)

Sign - Welcome [#welcome] to the forums, plumline!!! Can't wait to see you over in the armor section! Hobby Lobby has an okay selection of kits and etc. I recommend trying to find your LHS(local hobby shop).

Hello, my name is Mike Iam 51 a plumber by day and a Modeler by night.Just getting back into the hobby after being out of it for sometime.I like to build aircraft and tanks wwII era. See you all at the forums. A little side note been looking at the forums there's been talk of a store called Hobby Lobby. My wife and I recently went to Tennessee the Chattanooga area. My son goes to collage there. He hurt his shoulder so we flew back to take him to hospital for surgery. After the procedure I went to get a perscripton filled. Iam driving down the road looking for the Wallgreens. When what do I see a Hobby Lobby so I had to check it out. After I drop off the perscripton I do have my prioritys. It's just like you guys said half a row for military and half a row for cars. The paints are right there too,in ca. the paints are behind the cash reg.At least the spray cans are.Now that Iv'e been to a Hobby Lobby does that make me a offical modeler. Thats my story see you around
