Smokinguns3, I live near Peterson AFB.  Been in the Springs now for just over 2 years, which is about 3 winters too many.

HELLO ALL
Posted by 1025drv on Thursday, December 4, 2008 9:10 PM

Although I have spent quite some time reviewing this forum before posting, this is my first post and would like to introduce myself to everyone.  I just recently retired from the Navy after spending over 20 years travelling around the world and meeting a lot of wonderful people.  Also collecting, but hardly ever building the models I have accumulated.  It's been some time since I have really spent time building anything and l look forward to getting started.  I started building armor models while my father was stationed in Oki during the early 70's having at my disposal what seemed like hundreds of tanks and such available to me.  With the Yen - dollar exchange rate, I would head out to my favorite off-base hobby shop with $30 dollars and come back with an arm full of things to build.  I have always liked building armor above all else.  I also do like aircraft, Viet Nam era with their awesome camo paint jobs, and cars.  So I look forward to learning from those in the Armor area who have not only the building experience, but also the life experience.

Thanks all.
