Sign - Welcome [#welcome] to the forums, and back to the hobby!  I remember seeing your search for info on that Corsair, but sorry I couldn't help out.  I look forward to seeing your build, as the Corsair is my favorite aircraft. Approve [^]

Hi everyone,

I already put up my first post in another forum but I guess I should introduce myself... like most of us, I suppose, I built a few dozen models as a child and teenager, but I was a pretty mediocre and easily frustrated modeler back then. In the years since, I got a college degree in aviation and a commercial pilot's license, so aviation has never really left my blood even though I never ended up doing it for a living.

A few weeks ago I stumbled into something that gave me the itch to build another model: I found out that a relative was the first Marine pilot to be shot down in the Korean War, so I decided to build a model of his Corsair. I don't have any aspirations that it will be nearly as fine as what I've seen on this site, but with a little help I can hopefully make it presentable.
