WOW is right! All I can do is drool though, can't bring them back across the border. I started off with a new Remington Wingmaster and an 11-87 Premier. Then I sold them when I got hooked on Brownings. Should have kept them though, they were great guns. Never though I'd find a fellow gunner on Finescale forums!

Spend some time in  Cabela's or Bass Pro Shops in the gun room, WOW.  The price tags on some of them are unreal.  The craftsmanship is of the charts.  I like that they have a pair of white gloves next to them sometimes, very cool.

Sad to say but I don't own any Brownings, all Remingtons.

Very cool indeed. My dad has the exact gun you mentioned, and that was the first shotgun I ever held. From that point on I was hooked on them. I could buy a nice car with the $ I have tied up in Browning's. 12, 16, and 20 gauges. Pumps, semi-autos, O/U's. Love my Browning's! Gotta be traditional blued steel and walnut though, no modern plastic stuff. If anyone is curious as to what true shotgunning is all about, check out a magazine called Shooting Sportsman. There are some shotguns in there that are unreal. All hand made, a year or more to build, and price tags in the $80,000+ range. Yes, 4 zeroes there! Only a modeler or shotgunner could appreciate the artwork and detail involved in them.

Oh, believe me, I'd duck hunt every day if I could, but I hunt public waterfowling areas where you need a daily blind rental to hunt. I used my last one up the other day (1 Black, 3 Mallard drakes, all big and fat corn fed northern birds!) and the area is booked full for the rest of the season. Bird hunting and shotgunning is my #1 passion, but I'm getting back into modelling to fill in the off season.

Sign - Welcome [#welcome] to the forums!  I couldn't agree more, -30 is too cold for anything besides staying indoors and building aircraft models. Big Smile [:D]

Hello all. I've been a lurker here for a while, but it's been even longer since I've built anything. Let's just say the last time I built a kit I was using spray bomb cans! Time to upgrade! I've been picking up a few kits over the years in anticipation of my return (bunch of Tamiya 1/48 planes, 2 old Revell 1/32 Typhoons, Vintage Fighter 1/24 P-40, plus about 10 1/24 and 1/25 muscle cars). I picked up some good tips from these forums, but I can always use more. After freezing my arse off duck hunting yesterday in -30 weather, I decided it was time to hang up the Browning and stay in the warm house and build a kit! Glad to finally be a part of this forum (although, the recent Hamburglar episode had me a bit worried.). I'm off to build!
