Welcome to the Forums Kurt Sign - Welcome [#welcome].  I agree with you that Tamiya Acrylics aren't great for brush painting, although they work well for airbrushing.  Citadel is better, but my favorite is Vallejo for brush painting.

Regards,  Rick

Hi, My name is Kurt and I am just begining to build scale models.  I have been painting Warhammer Fantasy figures for quite a few years.  I have several armies totally painted and have spent countless hours brush painting.  I am also into RC cars too.  I really enjoy building RC kits (Tamiya :) and I think that has lead to my interest in scale models.  I was shocked to find that scale models are only available in hobby shops and a few craft stores.  I remember when every drug and department store had a huge selection.  So far I have purchased a few Revell cars and I plan on picking up some Tamiya armor in the future.  I tried brush painting with Tamiya paints and was dissapointed with the results.  Needless to say they do not act like Citadel paints when brushing!  I have a Badger 155 airbrush coming in the mail and expect to have a ton of questions on how to use it.
