Sign - Welcome [#welcome] Yimkin!  Glad you decided to take up modeling.  Bummer about missing the ride on the Lanc, thought would have infuriated me as well. Sigh [sigh]

Hi all,

Introducing myself here - a serious newbie, the last kits I built were when I was about 10, and they were appalling! I never painted them either! I'm 37 now, and have looked around for something to occupy myself other than constant DIY (300 year old heap of a house), and have landed on modelling.

My main interest is aviation, ranging from WW2 to date. A friend of mine helped rebuild the only flying Vulcan, and also worked on the Battle of Britain Lancaster (I missed out on a flight in that due to having changed mobile number - how annoyed was I!).

Anyway, I have already asked a couple of questions on here, and was pleased to get friendly, informative responses, so expect to see me around for a while!
