Aloha to all from Hawaii! My better half "suggested" that I get involved in some of these forums as a way to reduce some of the time spent in the hobby shop, so here I am. I started modelling when I was about 8 and have been doing it on-and-off for about 36 years now, finally returning to it seriously (and, I hope, for good) about 2 years ago. Though I dappled in cars, planes, ships and Aurora Movie Monsters & Planet of The Apes Kits (anyone remember those?), I found my true love when I built the Aurora 1/48th scale King Tiger. It's been "just armor" ever since, almost exclusively 1/35th, except for the 1/1 M113s & Bradleys I served on in the Army and the LAVs on which I served as a civilain contract trainer in Saudi Arabia, but those are stories for another time! For now I look forward to discovering what there is to learn from all of you. Happy modelling!

Hi there, Boomerang! You're right, these forums contain huge amounts of great stuff...and I haven't actually even made it to the armor stuff yet! Thanks for the welcome & here's hoping I see you around.

Greetings to you, mg.mikael, and thanks for your welcome! I do find myself wondering if the "mg" portion of your "handle" means the same as the MG in mine, so perhaps we'll have the opportunity to discuss further later-on. Happy modelling!

Hi Bobby! Your idea for the laptop isn't exactly new, as I already tried that one.  I must say that I was completely taken-aback by the response it got me. So much so that I resolved to act like any real man afflicted with "the illness" & leave the computer at home for the sake of making a relatively unmolested purchase of that shiny new DML Elephant w/Zimmerit!

Thanks for the welcome, happy modelling & I look forward to "seeing" you around the forums.
