Hello All, new here!!

Well Ive been lurking since round bout christmas. My name is Trey and I live in Augusta GA. I was a builder as a kid/teenager, got out of it. Last christmas my girlfreind got me a Alien model kit ( a mip 1979 MPC issue, Alien being my fave film of all time0 I didnt want to open but damn I wanted too !!! So I got online and got me the 1999 AMT/Ertyl reissue and built it ( that is a flawed kit , anyone here built one?). I went on to a Polar Lights Godzilla and Rodan. Had some fun with those, So one day I went to out local hobby town and saw some of the Tamiya WW2 kits.  Ive always had a big interst in WW2, playing WW2 games and movies etc. I got a few sets of german soldiers and had a blast ( well sorta till I discovered acrylic paint).  I fooled around with them and finally got some done I was happy with. Now, my muse suddenly hit me, In the 70s as a child and into the 80s as a teen ( im 39 now by the way, or will be on april 20) I was into comics like Dc's Werid War Tales and things like that. One of my fave stories I ever saw involved some German soilders vs a mamoth and other prehistoric creatures, so Im gonna do all my stuff revolving around that. Im even gonna do my Tamiya army kits in that what I call bad 70s war movie detail , you know very little detail, mostly greys and blacks to give it that "comic" vibe. So Im gonna do my dinos in " Valley of the Dinosaurs" colors, powder blue, red etc......... .... So I dont know , I think I hit a great idea, and after searching the web I was suprised it seems no one else has done something similar. I think after this run Im gonna do some stuff based on the Call of Duty games, or maybe brothers in arms.......

Looking foward to chatting with you guys,,,,,,,,,
