Thanks for the welcome guys i do have an airbrush but no compressor i was given a second hand one pretty beat up but good enough to learn on but i died and a little pricey for a new one for me right now.  So would it be worth it to post pictures of naked model kits or just be boring to see?

Sign - Welcome [#welcome] to the forums!  Glad you found us over here.

I remember seeing somewhere a series of models built completley naked OOB, and they were actually quite striking to look at.  No paint to cover anything up, so the assembly was there for all to see. Shock [:O]

Sign - Welcome [#welcome] to the forums, TheNakedModeler!!! Don't let not having an airbrush get in the way of painting. Try your hand at brush-painting builds. I brush paint all my builds and some modelers would have a hard time telling that it was handbrushed, and not airbrushed. If you want to see one of my latest builds(all brush painted), check it out here: /forums/1122276/ShowPost.aspx

Ok i know what you are thinking whats with the screen name right? Well since as of right now i can only build models in their naked state IE: no paint. Since i can not afford a air compressor right now and i really don't like rattle cans i am leaving them naked. Besides it gives me a better opportunity to enjoy what it takes to make a model kit from the design aspect with all the tool and die work that goes into making a kit. Some day i will get to paint these kits and do all the detailing work and what not but for now we can do what we can.  As for me i am 32 and i have been building on and off over the younger years of my life from trucks, car and now for the past few years it's been my first love military modelstrictly american vehicles from WW2 to present. I am always intrested in learning new techniques and trying new things. Mainly i am a lurker watching and reading from time to time i try to post pictures of my builds but seeing they are just bare plastic there really is no need for pictures.
