Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum and pretty much a brand new modeller. I have done aircraft and some armour when i was young, but my career pretty much kept me away from home and changed my hobby time. I kept up with things thru FSM magazine and some internt searches but other than that it been a long, long, long time since i have sat down and completed anything.
This will be the first time I will be home for more than 4 days a month. I've been searching the forum and checking out what people have done. WOW. I am completely impressed and blown away by everyone's talents. Congrats to all and thanks for the inspiration.
I'm from Sylvan Lake, Alberta, Canada. I have always had an interest in aircraft, since i was a kid going to airshows, fly in twin otter in northern Canada and being dropped in the bush in nothern Alberta by hueys and such for the work i did. I enjoy all era's of flight, but i must say the WWII is my favorite. The spitefire would have to be my all time fav.
I have been reading the new "essential techniques for the model builder" by FSM and was very interested in the article "Motorizing a mediterranen spitfire" by Paul Boyer. Would any know where I could get more info on this type of subject and possible lighting? I have no experience with electronics so any help would be great. When I get my model legs underneath me, I have three old Monogram B-36 Peacemakers I would like to to get up and working.
Keep up the excellent work and you'll have me going "WOW!! how did you do that" with every pic.
A salute from the great white north.
Thanks EH!!
Darren
