Hi all! I'm a newbie to these forums. I'm registered to Hyperscale but haven't posted yet, I just read.
Now for a little about myself. I'm 22 years of age and have been a modeler since I can remember. My dad got me started with model cars. I started building WWII era airplanes in my early teens. Then sometime around when I got my license, I found out there are other kits out there besides Revell and built my first Tamiya kit. I was building the JGTC race cars when I was involved in a car accident right before my 19th birthday. I was passenger in a friends car that rolled side over side several times. The roof collapsed on me and burst fractured my 5th vertebrae in my neck leaving me a C6 Quadriplegic. The only function I have as far as my hands is my wrist flexors. I can curl my wrist up which makes my fingers contract I thought for 2 years that I couldn't build models anymore but I decided to give it a try anyways. So far since then, I've learned I can't hook up my airbrush to my air compressor and that's about it. I can do everything else. I didn't think it was possible but ya never know.
I've yet to complete a model but I'm very close. I have a Hasegawa Bf109f-4 and a Revell P-47D Thunderbolt I'm decaling that I should have both done this week. I'm getting ready to start building a Tamiya Bf109 E-4/7 and Heinkel He219 Uhu too. I was brush painting cockpits and landing gear but those two kits will be my first that will be mostly airbrushed. I jump from project to project as I'm sure others do too, which is why it's taken me forever to get a model done.
I'll be posting my questions and a WIP thread or two here soon. Take it easy on me and feel free to ask any questions you want!
