Jimbot-introducing myself.
Posted by jimbot58 on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 3:18 AM

I have recently started on my second century here on earth and find myself with little interest in the club or bar scene and also find myself unmarried and unattached. Many of my friends are still either into the bar/club/party scene or have joined the ranks of the "married w/children". I built kits as a kid, but gave them up when I became an "adult" as jobs, dating, cars and other interests took over. It was probably 15 years ago that I became re-interested in model building and have been going at it since then with a few periods of lost interest in it that eventually returned. I also made a brief foray into model railroading (N-scale) but had to chose one or the other due to time and expense. I now find that I am comfortable coming home from work and relaxing by working on a project. I am not the kind to be content at sitting for hours in front of the tube. I have to be doing something.

My main interest is 1/72 scale military aircraft with some 1/144 scale tossed in, and a small mix of autos, armor (1/35th and 1/72nd scales). Mainly I tend towards jet aircraft.

On my workbench now:

It's all about classic cars now!

Why can't I find the "Any" key on my keyboard?
