Welcome to the Forums & back to the Hobby Sign - Welcome [#welcome].  Frank covered your question on Weekend kits.  They are the same plastic as the stanard kits but without the extra goodies and at a lower price.

Regards,  Rick

As for your question, the "Weekend edition" kits advertised by Eduard are relatively simple kits to build, without all of the fancy photo etch parts and pre-cut masks for things like canopies.  They only provide one marking option, so that might limit you a bit unless you have other decals to use.

If you are looking for a relatively cheap kit to build that is easy to build, accurate, and easily available- the current generation of Tamiya kits are VERY hard to beat.  Their Spitfire, FW-190, ME-109, and P-47 kits are some of the best out there. Thumbs Up [tup]

Hello From Oklahoma

Been out of the hobby for a while but got the modeling bug again. Was pretty active in the late 70's to early 80's, but had to stop for a while when I went into the Army, kinda killed the hobby but not the desire. But now I got time to build again.

But do have a question what are these weekend kits that I have seen advertised, Are they for beginers or people like me who have been out of the hobby for a while and need something to help get back into the swing of things, Before I try a more detailed Model.
