Thank you! Yes, Okinawa does look very different from when "Victory in the Pacific" was filmed. It's a beautiful place, especially where the city ends and the rural areas are up north. I never stops amazing me when I think of how the battle of Okinawa was fought; with the terrain, jungle growth, the natural barrier of reefs that are around the island but most of all the people. I mean, they are the kindest people that I have ever had to interact with and having 24 years in the U.S. Military I have interacted with a lot of different people from a lot of different countries, in a lot of different countries.

Was just seeing Okinawa last night on an American Experience episode titled "Victory in the Pacific". I'm sure the island looks a little different now, in a much better way.
