Thanks for the kind comments.  Sorry to hear you're too far away to make it to Nanton this year.  The P-51D is Tamiya's 1:48 scale - built by Randy Lutz in Ottawa.  Photo taken the Cap-Con contest in 2005 in Ottawa.

Cheers,

Duane

Cool link. I attended the 2009 RMMC contest in Nanton Alberta. Great event, doubt I will make it this year as I am now 3000 miles away.Sad

Excellent work on your models Duane, what scale is the P-51 with 'JAS' on the side? I know its a Canadian unit as I have the 1/72 scale kit with it featured on the box cover art. Somehow me thinks its 1/32 scale w/ Mike Grant decals? Regardless great stuff!Bow Down

Thanks for the welcome guys.

I'm an aircraft guy.  Anywhere from WWI through to jets of the 80's.  No much *really* modern stuff - cuz they're generally ugly. (that would be my age showing.)

You can see some recent builds and some local show pics here.

Cheers,

Duane

Welcome Sign

Great to meet you Duane!

The age and range of modelers here is vast, it seems there is a someone with information or who will search up the answer to any modeling related question. As you may notice its mostly A+A, Armour and Aircraft. There are a few crazy custom car builders and figure painters as well. Basically whatever floats your boat including some ships.

...So whats your area of interest regarding models?

Regards Jason~

Welcome SprueMonster... so it's you that devours all those little parts that I drop on my floor correct?!

All kinds of stuff going on in here, questions & answers, pictures of works in progress, group builds and long rambling conversations that occasionally have something to do with modeling! Have fun,

Vance

I've been modelling for 40 years.  I thought I'd check this place out.

Cheers,

Duane
