German Aircraft Modellers.
Hello All,
My name is David Gray. I am the director of the Freeman Field Recovery Team, a group dedicated to locating, excavating, and preserving captured Luftwaffe equipment that was buried at the Seymour, In airfield during 1946. We have recently begun digging up a variety of German aircraft parts which defy identification. As a fellow aircraft modeller, I know that we have nearly the intimate knowledge of aircraft as your average mechanic.
A couple of weeks ago, we unearthed a cache of German propeller blades of varying sizes and dimensions, some still attached to the hubs. If anyone has access to information regarding length, shape, dimenstions, markings, etc,...I would greatly appreciate it. Some have the obvious German shape that was found on later Bf-109's, Fw-190's, etc....
I hope to hear from people in this forum who may be able to assist, as we have a very daunting task ahead of us.
Take care,
Dave Gray
