lurker finally say hi
Posted by paageazer on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 7:04 PM

greetings and salutaions to everyone. HI just as the title says. this is a great place  to keep me busy and interested in the hobby. recently my family lost everything in our storage shed due to mother nature, even my 300 + kits. at least no one was hurt. I probable would have only built a few dozen anways. I just wanted to become involved in some discussions and stop being depressed.

have a great night all.

Welcome Sign Welcome to the forum... you can quit lurking!  No worries... I was the same as I was lurking for almost a year before I finally had the courage to jump in.  Sorry to hear about the loss of kits... but lives are not replacable while kits are.

What happened to the shed? Fire, water or a giant moth?

WelcomeWelcome Sign

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of the shed and it's contents, but as mentioned earlier, stuff can be replaced, A life is gone forever.

I must also say, Don't give up hope of everything being a total loss. Unless if the shed caught fire, and burned to ashes before the fire department arrived, there could very well be a few items that survived.

Heck, even if it was a fire, something could have made it. A few years ago, an animal shelter caught fire and burned to the ground in my area. They could only rescue the dogs, and thought that the cats in the building were all dead, because of the fire's intensity, but for a week after, they were finding pockets of cats in the debries that survived the fire and collapse of the building.
