Howdy and welcome, sorry to hear about the Kamikaze bird but small animals can be as destructive as little and big people. I hope to see some of your work. Again welcome to the forum, Magoo

Welcome.

Man I hate the disappearing post accident (happens too often eh).

With some luck most of us have most of our collections end up like the chap that had his end up with you.

When I go I want them going somewhere useful.

I can't subscribe to your closing thought though. This life is all you are getting, don't waste it expecting some pipe dream later. Use your time now well, and make sure you made good use of it now.

Had my intro just about done /hit the wrong button and goodbye message- into outer limits it went. I absolutely hate typing on this laptop of my mates.  I'll make this shorter this time.  I started doing models back in 1952/54 with Revells Highway Pioneers of which I still have 7 models plus one that is in plastic / in the original box. An '89 rolls royce. They were neat little cars but not much to assemble.  I also have a p-51 and a ww1 Spad rubber band powered that are over 50 yrs old.  Just recently I had a young robin fly into my  garage where I have about 20 models hanging and must of thought he was a jap zero cause he /it took down  6 plastic planes and my Spad  which is a balsa model. That basically fell apart . I recovered the wings, redid all the guywires /struts  and repainted some of it.  Still looks old. It's funny how time ages and a small bird kills.  I got out of models for my hell-raising years but got drawn back into it after my 1st son came along and we did rockets but got tired of losing them so onto cars we went. He's now in his 30's and I have some of his models down here along-side of mine.  Since then its been build, build, build. I have nearly 200 built models and over 50 unbuilt.  My daughter came over today with my Fathers Day gift of 12 models ,3 tanks,USS Yorktown 1/525 scale, and 8 planes. that she bought from someone who's dad was a modeler and recently passed on.[Moment of silence] one day in the future my models will be passed on, hopefully my sons son wil pick up the "gauntlet". To you who read this tho.  Don't let your hobby come before your realationship with Jesus who will ultimately judge all .   Bless You all
