Hi! My name is Joe. I've been referencing this forum for the last month or so as I've gotten back into my hobby of building WWII armor and land vehicles. This is after an 8 year hiatus. I actually began doing armor back in 2001 when I was out from work with an injury. Before that I had built a few models as a kid back in the early '80s and loved it, but didn't really have the money to keep at it.
Anyway, back in about '04 I got overwhelmed as I was learning to weather my vehicles, so I gave it a break, but I've kept it in mind since then, bought an airbrush set and held onto my hoard and kept space for the 40 or so weapons of destruction I had already built. Recently I moved and just laying hands on all those things (ie - paints, built kits, unbuilt kits, reference books, etc, etc) stirred my interests once again.
I grabbed a kit I had bought back in about '04, a Revell/Italeri RSO and started to work on it. While I was waiting for parts to dry I started a Tamiya PAK 40 for it to tow. When I got hung up on weathering I picked up an old Italeri Marder III H I had started back in '04. I can't tell you how many times I've thought about tossing the darned thing in the trash over the last few years. Funny. Now its coming along pretty well.
Soooooooooooooooo, long story - short, I'm back in it. I've already bought 5 models, a few aftermarkets and a couple hundred dollars worth of supplies. Lately, (being a slow time of year for my work) I've been sitting outside, enjoying these beautiful late summer days and working on my models.
That's about it, with the exception of my first question - Does anyone know where I can buy a set of leaf springs for a panzer IV? I'm missing 1 spring from a kit and don't want to have to buy a whole new model. Thanks!
Joe
