Revisiting a favorite past time

Greetings to all. After 17 years I am looking forward to getting back into the modelling scene . I enjoy all modelling subjects particularly 1/72 military vehicles, soo many new manufactures and products from what I remember not to mention sticker shock.

Thanks for the welcome. I would like to post some of my builds but apparently they did not survive the storage experience too well. Some small repairs are in order. I will try to get at least one posted soon.

It's been a while since I first posted.  Since then I set up a make shift work bench,  took an inventory  and  finally got a chance to repair some of the damage my models endured while in storage.  enclosed are some pics.

c

Here's a pic of the work bench

Due to the long term storage I thought  my  paints had  passed their expiration  You know, when the pigment  settles at the bottom no matter how much you shake it. Came up with this little bad boy. Worked extremely well.

The stash Big Smile  Been on a bit of a buying frenzy. Impressed with all the new manufacturers : Dragon, PST, Trumpeter Etc. Still appreciate my Esci thou. Thanks

Welcome to the forum and back to the hobby. Yep, thats some stash, and enough Esci to keep you going. I think i have bought more kits in the 5 years since i got back into it than i did in the 20 years i was building before my break.

Some great builds there.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Welcome RX7850! Oh Yeah, you will fit in rather nicely around here. Excellent models, really well done. And as far as your work space and stash go well, I bow to you in reverence.

Nice-looking models.  At first, I thought your stash was a photo of a hobby store!

Thanks everyone I got a good chuckle from a lot of the comments.  Yes I do think I have more kits than I will ever get to complete but you can never have enoughWinkYes.  Here's a couple pics of some early builds.

On the agenda is to decide my first build.  Since it's been awhile I'm contemplating  something with  a simple monotone paint scheme ,Russian perhaps. This will give me a chance to try  out some of  Alex Clark's techniques that he describes  in his book Small-Scale Armor Modelling,(good read by the way).  I hope to post the W.I.P in the forum.

Thanks
