Hello, and thank you!

I used to build plastic models as a kid, mostly planes and ships, and never with the attention to detail that I've seen in some of the posts here. Of course, that was 40+ years ago, and modeling was something to do on rainy days. Following some rather abrupt changes in our lives after 9/11, my wife returned to the workforce, leaving me with some spare time on the weekends. I was looking for a way to pass a few hours on a Saturday or Sunday while she's at work, particularly in view of the cold and snowy winter we've been having this year in the Northeast, and thought about building models. I bought my first one in December, and while the result was an unmitigated disaster, I learned alot. Mostly, I learned that I had a lot to learn if I was going to do more than just build junk. While looking for some pointers, I found this site. I've been reading your posts, and I've posted some questions of my own in the past week or so. I have to say, the experience has been unreal. I can't begin to tell you how much I've learned alredy, and the responses I've received, both in this forum and via e-mail from some of you, have been just great. So, thank you all in advance for your help, and your patience. In time, I hope to do for others what you've been doing for me.
