Welcome aboard Allen,

I'm fairly new myself to the forums...glad I signed up.

There are some very interesting happenings on the GB's (Group Builds) too. Check them out and jump in.

Highly recommend it.

Welcome Allen, It's great to have you here. Please do not be shy about posting pics as we are all here to help each other improve our modeling. Getting a look at someone's build is the best way to not only offer friendly advice but, to also get validation for what you're doing right. Joe

Hiya Allen! Welcome back. Please pics of the Mosquito. I don't build much outside of Luftwaffe stuff at this stage in my building but like Mosquitos alot. Wooden wonders that fly marvelously!!! Welcome in here and feel free to ask questions, Joe

Thanks everyone.

I will get some pictures of my Mossie up soon - do I start a new thread in Aircraft? I do have some questions on it, as I had ambitions for it that exceeded my skill level at the time I started. (cut out the control surfaces)  I will try to post good shots of some areas of concern.  Any advice or suggestions will be most welcome.

Welcome to the madhouse. Feeding times are irregular, but the natives are friendly (well, MOSTLY friendly). If at first you don’t succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried.

Welcome!  so your dusting off an airplane...... but its weathered so realistically .... and you didnt have to do a thing to it to acheve this result!       Tell us how you did it......     Just kidding!    most of my stuff has been in storage so long that its now fossilized!     Come on in and join the "Maddness".

Welcome to the Forums Allen. Glad to have you aboard. Some of the members might be coming to you for info what with 30 years in the RCAF. Everyone has something to contribute no matter what it is. My name is Jim and I am a plasticaholic. I love the smell of plastic in the morning. Wink

Welcome aboard, Allen, glad to have you with us. Look forward to having your voice in the discussions and hopefully seeing some of your work. It's a pretty good group here, lots of experience, good advice and good-natured insanity to draw upon. Hope you'll enjoy adding to the fun.

Chanter, welcome! You will find no shortage of comrades who love WWII aircraft. Dear God! I hear them coming this way now ... gotta move or get trampled ...

Glad to have you here.

Tim

Hey everyone.

Hi all.

I have just returned to modelling after a 10+ year break (seems to be a common intro on various forums).  It was something I really enjoyed doing, although was never particularly good at.  Here I am many years later, with stiffer fingers and poorer eyesight, but more patience and access to a treasure trove of information and helpful tips from sites such as this.

I am in the RCAF (30 years this May) and am particularly interested in WWII aircraft.  I am presently working on a 1/48 Tamiya Mosquito that I started in 2000, but just dusted off and re-started.  I would really like to do a couple of FAA Corsairs (Sheppard and Gray) at some point, but for now am trying to take my time on the Mossie and do it a bit of justice.

Looking forward to participating here, and hopefully developing my skills to an acceptable level.  I understand that posting pictures is encouraged, and I think I have a thick enough skin to do so and look forward to the critiques and learning from you folks.

Regards,

Allen
