Welcome! I'm pretty new myself. I spent some time visiting a few forums and have found this one the most friendly and helpful so far. The community is A+. I think you'll get a lot of quick, useful answers to any question and meet plenty of friendly people who enjoy sharing!

I think scratchbuilds are so cool, can't wait to see some work!

Welcome back to the hobby and welcome to the Forums. Built scale and racing R/C boats many years ago. Raced the sailboats up and down the east coast in the late '70s and '80s. Took a few trophies in the process. Products and building procedures have sure changed a lot over the years. Prices have gone through the roof too. That is one large project you have taken on. I'm sure the guys in the ship forum would love to see photos of your build in progress and be glad to help you if and when you need it. Don't be afraid to ask for help. Best of luck.

Welcome ! I'v been wanting to do a RC version of a Revell 1/72 sub for some time now. But I dont know a lot about the working parts to "sink " it in a controlled fashion. I know tons of ways to " BLAST" it with bottle rockets !

Please post pictures of your proggress. I too am thinking of doing an escourt carrier in 1/144. The hull will be about 5 feet long ! Specifically The USS Bouge CVE 9 I believe.

Have fun wandering in the forums..... there are no stupid questions. But the answers..........LOL

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"

Morning all,Just getting back into modelling after a 38 year hiatus.I am involved in scratch building R/C boats,my present project is The  USS Yorktown CV5 she is in the hull stage and is 1/144 scale.I have been buying as many Dauntlesses and Wildcats in 1/144 scale as I can find them(seem hard to find)as I need a total of 90 aircraft.Just starting to move around on the forum and how to's looking to find info on cutting wings  so that they will have that folding look and i will be able to get more on the deck .I guess what I'm saying is I'm a rookie with all the changes that have happened since the 60's so I will probably be picking lot's of brains on here.Well yapped long enough have a great day EH.Ron.
