Welcome, Joe! Hope the leg and ankle are better. I've never broken a leg before, but I have broken both ankles. You're right - you do get bored when you can't walk for a while. Good Luck on all your modeling!

Hi, I go by the name of Oddjob on this forum.  Imjustjoe, good for you to get back into the "Hobby."  Lord, I've been out for a good fifteen years, and just recently dug a carton of fifty models out of the attic.  Now I have to re-learn what I did before, with all of the new stuff.  Talk about a learning curve.  Even the acrylic paints have changed in color and consistency, but the old models seem to have a different  quality to reactions to paint and glue.  But its great fun, a challenge, and , well, only some half-assed models so far.  But I am getting better.  Good luck, have fun, and enjoy the creation of a beautiful thing.

Welcome in here to the forum buddy. Sorry to hear about the leg. I can remember around 16 yrs ago I broke my ankle and picked the hobby up again after a 12 yr break(only then there wasn't a forum like this one). Glad to have you and post pics when you can, Joe

Welcome aboard, how's the leg.

That's a rather desperate way to get the other half to buy you a model, but might be worth a try. Well, once anyway.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

HI,just geting back into hobby because i was board siting around nursing a broken leg and dislocated ankle. My wife was at a garage sale and purchased me a Revell 1/96 U.S.S. United States for only $10.When I was young I built a few models but as of being older I notice the hobby is much more enjoyable  with more patience. The ship was a blast to build and modeling is back in my system!!!!!!!!!
