Hey, Hey, Hey
Posted by eightfooticeman on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 4:49 PM

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,

After a 22 year break from building models, I'm back! After about 6 months I have two completed models, two on the bench right now and 21 in my stash. Things have changed so much over the years I feel like I'm back in school but this time I enjoy it!

Thanks,

Jermaine

Welcome back Jermaine!  You will find that a lot of us are just getting back into modeling.  My advice?....Jump in feet first and have fun!  The folks here have been awesome when it comes to helping out and giving advice.  Lots has changed, but there is a lot of knowledge here and it is freely given.  Oh, one more piece of advice...LOTS OF PICS!  We love seeing new builds!  Welcome!

Welcome, Jermaine! If you are looking for a good place to start, might I suggest checking out the "group build" section of the forum, and finding one that would fit something in your stash. We have several very good ones going on right now, so I'm sure something will interest you. If you have any questions, feel free to ask, or Bish started an excellent thread in the GB section about how they work.

Best of luck!

Hey Jermaine,

Well, don't just stand there, come on in! Kick yer shoes off and sit down.

I'm in about the same boat as you, Jermaine, having taken an extended stay of sentence from model building myself. I got back into it about 16 months ago, have a built a few new items and fixed / fixing a bunch of my old stuff.

These guys are great in here and you'll learn something every time you login. I'm sure you've got your own tips and tricks to share as well. Great to have you and we'll be seein ya!!

Bill.

On the bench:  Lindberg 1/32 scale 1934 Ford Coupe and a few rescue projects.

In queue:  Tamiya 1/35 Quad Tractor or a scratch build project.

Welcome !!!   Dont be afraid of the maddness you will find in here. Sooner or later you get used to it and everything will seem "normal"    But then you will pass into the "addiction" stage !

It's all over when you start stashing kits ......   Stash - ite- is...... Theres no cure !

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"
