Simon, good to hear your wound is healing and you can return to the hobby.  As for relearning the skills, shot, you get to experience the thrill of learning it all over again!  Jump in feet first and have fun!  You'll be teaching us skills soon enough!  Welcome!

Simon- sorry to hear about the misfortune but welcome back! As long as you've got the itch to glue some plastic, that's all that matters. Share in the passion!

That sounds pretty awful!  Welcome back and best wishes for the return of your previous skills.  Since you now have full mobility in that hand, I expect it won't take too long before you're turning out beautiful models again.

Gimme a pigfoot, and a bottle of beer...

Welcome back, Simon!  That dog must have had quite a bite!  Glad to know you are getting along better now.  Hope to see some of your work here soon.

Hello all,

Just wanted to do a trial post and introduce myself to the forum. I was here and quite active a while back c.2007 but a dog bite to my dominant hand and "trigger finger" in particular put paid to my modelling for a long time. It took 18 months to two years to regain full mobility in said finger. Demands of a young family have delayed my return to the fold but I am having those cravings again!! Unfortunately my first attempts have been pretty dismal (read confined to the dustbin) and I feel I am having to relearn all the old skills. Hope they haven't deserted me for ever!! Lets see if the uploaded avatar works.
