Hello to all

Been modeling for many moons, I'll be 60 this Nov .Kind of got away from it for awhile but recently started back up and got my son into modeling. He built me a fantastic looking HH43B Huskie-  Hopefully we can post a few pictures once I figure out how to do it.   I enjoy mostly USAF aircraft  from the Vietnam era and A/C used by the 48th Tactical Fighter Wing RAF Lakenheath.  I am also a retired firefighter and I enjoy building fire trucks when I can find them.  All have a great summer and keep cool.

Welcome aboard. I look forward to seeing your 48th TFW builds. I grew up in Norfolk and we would often have the F-111's over head. I know live near Bury St Edmunds, just down the road from Lakenheath and Mildenhall.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Welcome to the FSM boards.   I was in KC just a few weeks back (during the May snowstorm) and that WWI museum is a great place to visit.

In queue:  Tamiya 1/35 Quad Tractor or a scratch build project.

Welcome Brian!  And welcome back to the hobby!  Good to see your son getting in on the hobby too.  I go to KC Mo. for trainging with the National Weather Service.  Great place.  Have you ever been to the Sprue Brothers place?

Again, welcome and remember to post pics of your builds!

Oye Mate  Made  many a trip to Bury Saint Edmunds,  market day, pubs and there was a hamburger joint we went to all the time- Roaring Twentys-  just up the street from the castle ruins. Was at RAF Lakenheath   in 1974, 75 and 76,  Was a very enjoyable tour for me I really loved it in UK some much so it did not go anywhere else in Europe- to much to see in the UK. Hopefully will make it back to   some day.  So far in my collection of the 48th I have a F84G, 2- F100D's, 1 F4C, 1- F4D, F111E and a F15E Strike Eagle(all 1/48th scale). I just started a F15C  the other day.  I will hopefully post pictures when I figure out how to do it.  Anyways thanks for the reply and have a good day

Sounds like some collection, look forward to seeing it. To post photo's you need a hosting site, such as Photo bucket. And then you have to use the Use Rich Formatting link, next to the reply button. But rather than me try and explain it, this might be easier.

Hope that helps.
