Hello all.
Just want to say hi and introduce myself, so here I am: P. o Prune
http://www.content-delivery.co.uk/aviation/airfields/prune/
I took this user name after a few incidents where I ran out of air beneath the wings and good ideas at approximately the same time, when I first started flying rc models.
I've been working around planes almost all my working life, starting in 1977 in the Royal Danish AirForce as engineer on the old but beautiful C47 (yes, the RDAF actually used the C47 up til 1984) in 1979 I applied for the position as Flight Engineer on the Alouette III helicopter (and got it) and later transferred to the Westland Lynx (when RDAF phased out the Alouette)
I left the RDAF in 1985 and have worked with SAS (that’s Scandinavian Airline System, and not Special Air Service) since.
I joined FineScale modeler because my wife and I bought a house last November and it has a 42m2 garage. This is going to be my "man cave" and I can’t wait to start building my models in my very own workshop.
I have recently bought a Spitfire Mk. IXc from Tower Hobbies (Rc modell in balsa wood) but I'm planning on changing it into a Mk.II which is my favourite Spitfire. The scale is 1:7 and I’m sure I’m going to need a lot of help and advice during the building process but I’m really looking forward to get started.
