Glad to be here, I'll have plenty of questions I'm sure.  As soon as I can figure out how to post photos, I'll put some up.  I just built a 1/72 Sopwith Camel using several ideas I've already gotten from the magazine (build prior to painting, decal setting solution).  I also managed to score a bottle of Pledge floor wax (I hope it's the same formula).  Currently working on a 25 year old USS SARATOGA that I'm just getting around to building.  Going to attempt acrylic washes over the enamel paint jobs.

My name is Bill, I'm 63 and have been building models since about age 10.

I grew up an Air Force Brat so most of my interest is around military aircraft. I recently retired and now find myself with a number of WWII aircraft kits (all 1/48). I am planning onmaking a display hard stamnd for pics as I doubt there will be anyplace to display them. That is assuming that my eye and hand are still up to hand painting details.

I have lurked here for a while and am looking forward to using any techniques I can pick up.
