Meng Models are very detailed, lots of parts,I have theT-90 in the stash and it looks awesome and reviewed well.

But more parts and details mean more complications,Tamiya are generally more imple to start out with

Any suggestions on which Bradley to get. I like the Tamiya and I saw that Meng is making one. How are Meng's models?

Hey Ken,

I did find some info on the antiskid coatings on the M2-M3 Bradley, but not sure where it is.  I too have a diorama in mind for both big brother and the little back scratcher.  Matter of fact, I've got 3 Bradleys, but don't have any Abrahms as of yet.

Let me see if I can track down the links.

Good Modeling,

Welcome to the forums Ken.  Most of us had a long hiatus from modeling so you are in good company.  Lots of great folks here more than willing to offer up tricks and tips.  So have fun and welcome back to the hobby!

Not sure about your question, but welcome to the forums for sure, and enjoy yourself.

The Bradley question might get overlooked here, try posting in the Armor or Techniques area,it might get more looks.

Hello Everyone,

i just returned to modeling after 25 years. A friend on mine at work started modeling again and he would show me his pictures of he's tanks. I decided to start up again because of him. He gave me an old Tamiya Panzer III kit. I used that kit to experiment some different techniques I found on this site and others like salt, muddying, and other weathering. I think I over did it but it still looks pretty good for my first time back. Now I am working on a Tamiya M1 Abrams. I did the anti-skid paint I saw and it turned out nice. I will post pictures soon. I know I will have a ton of questions during my builds and you all seem like really helpful people.  I am having a great time building that my wife thinks I am crazy because I will sit for hours working on building without me ever realizing how long I have been sitting working on the model lol.

One question I do have, after I am finished with the Abrams, I want to build a M2 Bradley IDF for a diorama with both. Does anyone know the anti-skid pattern on the Bradley like the M1?

Thanks

Ken.
