Welcome to the forums, and the return to the hobby.

One thing I would recommend is to carefully read down the list of all the forums.  You seem to be interested in several of the genre found under the "modeling subjects" hierarchy, but there are also some fine forums that are independent of the type of model.  The "general discussion" and t he "tools, techniques and reference materials" hierarchies have some quite useful forums in them too, and should not be ignored.

Like a number of other members I've recently returned to the hobby after a long hiatus. If anyone recalls the magazine SCALE MODELER that may date me! Once again like other OLDER members I've built a bit of everything, Monsters, Space craft, Hot rods, Armor,& Aircraft. My current focus is WWII aircraft. I'm extremely impressed with the evolution of the hobby, some of the stuff guys are doing is off the chart, just open an old magazine of SCALE MODELER. I still have a number of issues! I look forward to participating in the forum, an OLD NUBIE has all kinds of questions!
