                        Welcome to the forum. I also build and fly RC airplanes (electrics). Scratch build WW1 and other bips mostly. But alas I really don't have a place to fly, so I devote myself to plastics.

                        AL, I just tried a PNG image and it worked ok. Then when I switched back I got the error message, but the second time it worked. Try again, and if it doesn't work, try a post in here and one of the mods should respond. But you may have to wait until Monday.

                        Obviously still don't understand how to upload an image, & I still get an error message when I attempt to change my Avatar photo.  Is there a specific file type I should be using? The Majority of my photos are PNG files...

                        Could an Administrator give me a hand here?

                        You need to put your pics on a hosting site such as Photobucket.

                        For your Avatar, go to the manage profile link in the upper right and then the Edit Profile link.

                        Just as another had wrote, I'm new to this forum, but have been building models (both Scale Plastic & R/C Scale Balsa wood WWII Aircraft) for more than 30 years now. I'm a Draftsman by Trade & have designed multiple model aircraft for "fun". Hope to learn & share a few tricks & tips wherever I can.
