Welcome Randy Welcome Sign

Yes, things have changed greatly. Tools, paints, the number and quality of kits, has really changed after my 15 year hiatus, I can't imagine what it's like since the 60's.
Jump in and enjoy, there are many members here that will be pleased to pass on their knowledge and skills (and there a lot of knowledge and skills here).

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

it's a whole new world from the 70s. a suggestion. look at the group builds, find a subject you like, and join. they can be as specific as ME-109s or as broad as anything in 1/72. they are fun and great way to learn and meet folks here.

Welcome to the Forums Randy!  Glad to have you aboard!

Now that your retired, you know that everything is to be taken "Slow and Easy".  Sooooooooooo, sit back, have a sip or two of your favorite brew wether it be Coffee Beer Drinks or Toast and build away. I've been building for 68 of my 74 years and have enjoyed (amost) every minute of it (after I finished all of the long honey-do list waiting for me when I retired in '98).

I keep hitting "escape", but I'm still here.
