New kid on the block
Posted by drumsgt on Thursday, January 15, 2015 7:47 PM
Hello, my name is Rob Davis. Old retired guy trying to clear my backlog of model kits. I would guess I have more kits than time, based on my current rate of production. Started working on the Midships kits of early WW2 destroyers. Let's just say I am having my challenges. However, I have a lot more research material now so I can build the ships a little bit closer to what they really looked like. I also found out there are more, or not as many classes (depending on your reference) of WW2 tincans than I thought there were.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Welcome to the Forums Rob!  Glad to have you aboard!

I've been building for 68 of my 74 years and I'm still learning something new almost every day.  I've got enough kits in my stash to keep me building for at least the next 200 years.  The guys and gals on the ship forum are very helpful and knowledgeable.  If you need any help, just ask.  Don't forget to post pics of your builds.  Enjoy.
