Welcome to the Forums CaptainJack!  Glad to have you aboard!

I've been building for 68 of my 74 years and build whatever strikes my fancy at the time.  As you can see from my avatar, I also build plank on bulkhead ships. There are many guys and gals on here that are very knowledgeable and helpful in all venues.  If you have a problem/question just ask.  Enjoy.

Thanks guys. I forgot to mention that I predominantly am a builder of ships and planes (non sci-fi), but have done a few terra firma models in the past. My main interests lie in sailing ships of the 17th through 19th century, 20th century steamer ships, and WWII era planes and naval vessels.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Hello All!

Hello everybody. Just wanted to take a moment and introduce myself. I've been an on again/off again modeller for most of my life. It started in the 1980's with a little model of a mortorcycle (Im not sure which one or even which brand to be honest, I was 7 or 8). It was a disaster of a build, but it was my first step. I eventually tackled progressively larger and more difficult models and have been a modeller ever since.  Although my spare time as a 5x dad is very limited, I try to find time to work on a model here and there. I mainly build plastic models, but I've built a couple plank on bulkhead wooden ships as well.  Just wanted to come on here and say Hi and hope to contribute my knowledge when and where I can.
