Hello from Italy
Posted by isuafa on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 2:45 PM
Hey all, my name is Andrew. I am an American but live in Italy. I primarily build tanks and other vehicles, but have done a few aircraft. Won a couple awards in small time competitions, nothing crazy. I've been building for around 11 years now, but it takes me a long time to build a model because is pick it up and put it down a lot. Work on it for a week, let it sit for a couple months, work on it a week, set it down, etc. A lot of it has to do with the time it takes and the number of coats it takes to hand paint models. I just bought an airbrush hoping it will make that part a bit easier, therefore keeping me interested. I am looking to find something more productive to do with my time than video games. I look forward to getting back into it. Hopefully I will be able to learn quite a bit from everyone on here.

Welcome isuafa  Welcome Sign

I was stationed in Lampadusa in 89, when there was a LORAN-C station there. Been all over Sicily.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Welcome to the Forums Andrew!  Glad to have you aboard!

You've come to the right place.  The people on here are very knowledgeable and helpful.  If you have any questions, just ask.  There is no such thing as a bad question.  I have found that I learn something new almost every day and I've been building for 68 of my 74 years.  Sit back and enjoy the hobby.
