Just wanted to say...
Posted by Airborne_Trooper11B on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 5:29 PM

I'm a true FNG to this site, but I just wanted to say thanks to all the friendly guys around here for making me feel welcome and for boosting my enthusiasm  for building. There are some true artists out here and you guys have inspired me to really step up my game! Not just to keep pace with all the awesome builds I've been seeing, but also to pay respect to all the real men who flew the timeless warbirds we all work hard to reconstruct.  So good going and keep up the good work! Curahee!!!

Anthony's the name btw Toast

Anthony, welcome to the group.  This is a great place to get information, share stories and meet some fantastic, friendly people.  I first came here about a year ago and I find myself cruising the forums almost daily.  Some would argue that I probably need to get a life; but, I enjoy the company and looking at what everyone is doing.

I hear ya on that! My wife thinks this is hands down the nerdiest thing about me, but I really do enjoy it. And it's great seeing I'm not the only nut out there. I literally find this more interesting than Facebook....actually got rid of that some time ago haha.

Or some relative bearing grease.

HA! I kill me.

Your welcome Anthony.
Like Jelliott said, I log on every day to check out what my friends are doing and to hopefully learn something new. I have to admit, that sometimes I get a little down looking at some of the outstanding work and wondering if I'm EVER going to get that good. But I keep trying and learning and WAM! I turn out something that blows me away.
In the evening I take a look at the forum to check out whats new, and my wife invariably says "are you on the forum again?" I guess she forgets that I'm home with her and not out at a sports bar or out with my friends and coming home late.

Welcome to the Forums Anthony!  Glad to have you aboard!

Going to the shows/contests and meeting these guys and seeing their builds in person really boosts the enthusiasm  a few hundred percent.  It takes a LOT of self control to take it easy at the vendor tables after seeing those builds in person.
