Hello all,
I have been lurking around for a while and figured it was time to introduce myself.

Just getting back into the hobby after many years off. Haven't finished a kit since high school.

Got a few in the stash that I want to finish up before I start some specific projects.

I am amazed at some of the stuff offered for modelers now that weren't around or that I never heard about 35 years ago.

I'm sure I'll have some questions as I work my way back into the hobby.

Thanks for looking.

Thanks, everyone. Bish, I mostly do aircraft, WWII and newer, but my current projects are some 1/72 WWI. I also like automobile, but not as frequent. Have those plus some floaty things in the stash.

Welcome Dave,

1/72 WWI is a challenge for sure. Be sure to post some pics of your builds.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Good luck with those 72nd stringbags. I mainly do WW2 aircraft and a few modern, mainly in 72nd. I have done one WW1 aircraft and have another to do this year. certainly fun doing all the rigging.

I came back to modeling 3 years ago after a 25 year hiatus.  It was initially overwhelming to get to know all the new tools, techniques, paints and sources that didn't exist when I was a kid, but learning about the new stuff was a lot of fun.

Quite a few of us have found our way back to building after an absence from the hobby including myself.  Welcome!

I'll have to start a build log. The kits I expected to fall together are proving to be the most difficult, save one, and the ones I figured would be the worst are actually not too bad. A mix of Revell of Germany and Academy. I'll get something posted when I get a photo hosting account set up. Thanks, everyone.
