I think i should re introduce myself.  Wow!!! I didnt realize that it has been 3 years since I posted!!!!!  Alot has changed in that time frame.  I have learned alot and have even shifted from military to my first love.....sci fi.  I even entered my first competition and swept the "beginners sci-fi" (beginners meaning first competition), took 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the category, an da first place in beginner's tanks with my Sherman tank Bastogne diorama.  I was even commissioned to do a build not too long ago.

My current project which I will post pics of very soon (as soon as I find time and the proper spot here on the forums) is one I have been preparing for for over a year to build.  The ship culminates all that I have learned up to this point.  I am also implementing some things that I have just recently learned.  So far, it has received alot of praise and some constructive comments which are always appreciated.  The project is an exploding Battlestar from the Battlestar Galactica reimagined series. Moebius Model as base.

Anyway...that should just about bring me up to date.  I look forward to visiting with everyone again soon.

New guy on the scale flight deck!

Hey all,

After lurking for the past 2-3 months, thought I would go ahead and become a part of the site that has been such a treasure trove of information.

As my subject line would suggest, I am into scale aircraft.  Mostly 1:48 scale.  It all started a couple of months ago when I decided to build a replica of one of "my babies", the  A-10 from the 188FW Ar ANG,  I had the honor of serving as an AMMO troop working with these awesome birds.  What started as a retirement display, has turned into a hobby.  I have recently finished an F-16 in my old squadron colors, and am now working on a short list of my personal favorites.  On deck now is a F-14 Super Tomcat.  Haven't decided which Squadron to assign her to as far as decals but, that will be a decision later down the line.  After that, there is a 1:72 scale Memphs Belle waiting.

That's about it.  I look forward to visiting with everyone and picking brains for tips.

Thx.
