Thanks for the warm welcome, all.  My interests lie, like many of you, in military aircraft and armor.  But I enjoy everything and am working on a couple of cars now. I want to show my son that there is more to life than things that go BOOM!  But, things that go boom definitely have their place.  :)  I am starting a Trumpter 1978 Chevy Monte Carlo kit now and feel a tad overwhelmed, since I am chasing down paints and what not. But i guess its part of the fun.

Thanks again!

welcome Brian. this is the place to ask questions about any aspect of modeling and some historical stiuff too. there ARE stupid questions but my friends here never acknowledged mine so fear not. there is also advice on working woth your son based on many modelers' experiences. post your progress, post your finished stuff, be open minded and you will be amazed how much you will enjoy the hobby. what are your interests?

Welcome back to Plastiholics anonymous. Quite a few things have changed since 91.

Hi all!

Like many others here, I am returning to modeling after 20+ years away from it. I recently completed a P-47 for my son and really enjoyed it. It didn't come out as well as I had hoped. Actually it was pretty much as I left off in 1991. I am hoping to really use modeling as a fun way to keep my brain engaged, have some quiet time, and show my son how one can be creative.

I hope I can glean some knowledge and wisdom from you all.

Thanks.
