I have been modeling since I was 10 years old I am now 55 and have loved every day of it, to me it is more than a hobby it is a form of escape; like reading I can immerse myself into the project and see myself in the scene the ship or vehicle I find it very relaxing to sit at my work station and contemplate how I want to modify or build something to bring more detail and realism to the piece I am working on and how it will all fit together when completed.
I am currently working on a modified carrier task force consisting of the Carrier Enterprise CVN-65, 2 Ticonderoga class cruiser, 2 Arleigh Burke-class destroyers, 1 frigates and 3 fast attack subs along with the USS Wasp (LHD-1). Both carrier will be modified with detailed hanger decks and complete is wings and equipment, I am adding lighting and sound to each of the carriers but only lights to the support vessels trying to find a fleet oiler in the 1/350 scale range but it looks like I will have to build one from scratch using a liberty ship as my base
I am going to load or try to upload some pictures of a duce and half I just about completed with cargo for a diorama I’m doing with a towed 150 howitzer
I am glad I finally joined up I look forward to tossing ideas and helpful tricks with everyone, glad to be part of the team.
