Hi all, my name is Kris. im 44 and live in the small town of Mulwala, on the NSW/Victoria border.

Im just getting back into modelling, with a 1/72 Convair B36 noless, but havnt built a thing since i was 16! life gets in the way sometimes...! but its great getting back into something that brought me so much joy when i was young.

Ill be keeping a eye on the forums, and am in awe of the builds!

Hope you all had a merry christmas, and a happy new year.

Hi, Kris.

A hearty welcome, nice to see so many modelers returning to the hobby. What do you plan on building after the '36?

I'm 74, retired 14 years and living in Springfield, Oregon. Model builder for most of my life, ain't quitting any time soon, (I hope!) Like 1:72 best, but will build about anything that interests me.

thanks for the welcome folks.

im thinking maybe a B47 next? same 'SAC movie' markings... One model at a time! the '36 needs more research, and afew more watchings of the movie, to get right.

we live on an acre and have 3 large sheds...but do you think i have somewhere to put them??? just need oldest daughter to go to uni this year and i 'may' have some room!!!

cheers all. im looking at all your other buildings, and learning.

kris

p.s. heres an idea... THE BIG THREE. '36 and '47 from 'SAC'. and a '52 from either 'Gathering of Eagles', or 'Bombers B52'. i really need another acre...

Kris, you have to do what I did when the boys went to college.  #1 - Change all the locks so they can't move back in.  #2 - Redecorate the rooms to your liking. That means keeping one for your mancave/modelroom.  It was a great change from the cold, damp basement to the nice, warm in the winter/cool in the summer, modelroom.  Try it, you'll like it.
