Back in the saddle, of sorts.

Hello everyone,

New to the forums as a member but I've been finding myself browsing them more often so i figured I'd join. I used to be an avid modeller as an adolescent, my first being an 1/48 F-117 my stepfather bought me at an airshow. Now as an adult, within the last few years i have turned back to modelling with newfound vigor.  I am a huge WWII aviation enthusiast and subsequently build models of that type, with occasional armor pieces to spice things up. The most difficult aspect of my building is the fact that i am colorblind, so any advice for colormatching would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.

Welcome to the forums!

I used to work in a science lab eons ago. Had a coworker who was color blind and added a piece of tape with simple markings (crosshatches) to color-code some of the stuff in the lab.

Hey Deux, I too have returned to the hobby.

 Model master,Vellejo,Tamiya. Yes I have fixed my own but I think the challenge wil be weathering. I'm using an acrlic paint red brown for rusting,I'll get the name and brand to you.

Hi ;

    My brother has that problem . What I told him was this . Look at the label on the bottle . Then take a small note-book and write it down as well as putting a code you can develop to let yourself  "See " the difference between say Light Aircraft grey and Underside Grey . You will surprise yourself .

I had a modeling buddy and good friend years ago that was Legally Blind . He built kick Butt armor in 1/48 Had many wins under his belt too ! Guess what he did for a living ? He was the top Diagnostitian in Radiology for the hospital he worked in !

     Good luck And Welcome to the Forums !  Tanker - Builder
