                        Hello everyone!


                        My name is Lisa and just joined the forum an hour ago. I haven't picked up a model since sixteen I believe. Like many here I went on a hitaus and after little more then a decade I'm ready to build again.

                        My personal health hasn't been the best for a few months. And honestly you can only watch so much TV, look online, play video games etc till it becomes boring. Right now my main focus is just trying to get back into the groove of building again. My intrest is mainly sci-fi models such as Gundam and Star Wars. I do also like sailing ships and have lurked on the ship forum for some time for hours reading. Also for some reason I'm really interested in Soviet AFV's and wouldn't mind building a T-72 one day.

                        Anyway just thought I'd drop by and say hello. And hope to be posting some of my work before long.

                        Hi, Lisa - You have arrived at the best place you could find for modeling buddies. So many experienced builders turning out great quality work, I'm always so glad to see the beautiful models they build.

                        Welcome to the forum Lisa!  As others said, don't hesitate to ask questions.  We rarely get the "Oh that question was asked a million times already"  or the "Google is your friend" type responses over here.  It's great to see another sci-fi modeler on board, espcially so with Gundam.  Please post pics of your projects!

                        BTW, nice avatar -  you cannot have enough Zakus!

                        Hi Lisa,

                         

                        I'm moving to Phoenix next month. I mostly build ships, with some sci-fi thrown in for variety. There are a couple of good model shops in the Phoenix area. Once I get there, I'm going to check into model clubs in the area. Welcome to the forum!

                        Real G, thank you! It seems like Gundam builders at least in the US are kind of a dying breed, not as active as when I stopped years ago. I might start on one of the think tanks from Ghost in the Shell today time will tell. And yes I love Zaku's!

                        Ships4ever, thank you for the welcome! Phoniex is eighty miles from me. So far the moment I'm stuck in Tucson which doesn't seem to have many hobby shops.
