Greetings from the four corners.
Posted by Tangotango on Sunday, April 24, 2016 11:23 AM

This is the first time I have joined a modeling forum though I have been building models on and off for nearly 50 years. My interet waxes and wanes as my sons become interested in the hobby. My main interst now is ww2 Pacific theater aircraft and also the center of my collecting . I look forward to    learning from this forum.

Welcome to the Forums!  Glad to have you aboard!

Glad to have another "older" gentleman here with us.  Me, I'm just an old fart that's been building for 69 of my 75 years.  I build whatever strikes my fancy at the time and the wallet says OK.  LIke you, my main interest is WWII time frame aircraft and soft skins.  But, I have strayed into figures, sci-fi, wooden sailing ships (as you can see by my avatar), and many other areas.

Ask away if you have questions/problems.  The guys, and gals on here are very knowledgeable and helpful.  Post pics of your builds.  We love to see pics.

Good luck in your builds.

Welcome aboard TT. The Pacific War doesn’t get the attention it deserves in my opinion, aside from the annual Japanese GB and the occasional Pearl Harbor GB. As for me, I love Japanese war material, ships, planes, tanks, it’s all very interesting to me.

As soon as I figure out how to post photos I can share a couple f recent builds. In other words, how is it done?

The quick answer is to put your pictures on a host site (PhotoBucket for instance).

Then using that sites "address" of your photo,  copy it,  come back to your FSM post page,  look for the square icon with a mountain and dot in it

, click that icon , paste your photos "address' in the space provided and click OK. Then by the magic of the computer-ering  you photo will appear in your post- where ever you left    your curser at.

And Welcome to the fourms

Steve

Welcome to the Forums! I'm partial to items from the Pacific Theater, especially US Navy ships and carrier aircraft.

Welcome!

Where from in the Four Corners area? I've taken a few trips through that area with the Jeep headed to Moab, and also around Cortez, CO and Mexican Hat. I love the southwest. Grew up in Colorado but live near Seattle now.

Once again, welcome aboard!

I live in Durango and work takes me to Cortez about once a week. Big contrast with only 50 miles separation. Thanks for the interest!

Welcome to the forums Tango! Yeah, where abouts in the four corners are you? I'm in Moab, Ut. I regularly attend and help out with the WestFest contest in Grand Junction, Co. I just saw your Hellcat. Beautiful work. Let us know if you need any assistance with posting pics. I'm a huge Pacific aircraft fan and it is my main area of interest. Especially USN aircraft. But, I really enjoy building Japanese aircraft also. Again, really happy to have you on board. Awesome folks here that will definitely enhance your modeling experience.

Cheers, Joe
