Welcome aboard Goat Boat! There's a couple of 72nd scale builders here that'll help you out for sure. Ol' Bish, Joe Rix and Fermis are just a few I can think of. Great bunch here that's always willing to lend a helping hand. Looking forward to seeing some of your work.

Hi guys!

I am new to this forum. I love airplanes and grew up a few miles from Carswell AFB and Dallas NAS in the early 50s! What a great time to be a kid! Always something cool flying over. Amon Carter field was close by too with Connies and DC-6s overhead.

Welcome to the forums. YES! Another 1/72 aircraft builder. Good to see another modeling in the one true scale. You'll find great folks here that are willing and able to help you in any way. And by all means, let's see some of those braille scale builds of yours. We LOVE pictures.

Your friend in 1/72, Joe

Welcome to the Forums GB!  Glad to have you aboard!

I've been building for 69 of my 75 years and build whatever strikes my fancy and my wallet says OK. You've come to the right place to learn to improve your skills. The members here are very knowledgeable and are always ready to help with any questions/problems that you may have. I've learned a lot since coming here. Looking forward to seeing pics of your builds.

Welcome back to the hobby and enjoy.

Hello FSM,  I'm new here, and recently returned to model building.

I have been building models again for about the last five months for the first time since I was a teenager, and kind of by accident. Previous resume includes some plastic air and ship kits when I was young, and some (Alot of) miniatures as a teenager, and a brief foray into wooden ships. This time I am focussing on 1/72 warbirds, and I aim to improve the quality of my finished product before doing somre armor, and maybe some larger scale stuff, if I deem myself worthy.

To this end, I have just acquired an airbrush, as my brush-fu is not the strongest - I am good at details, but not being consistent over large areas. hopefully airbrushing will help resolve this, once I learn my way around the thing. Right now I have a few projects in the works:

1/72  Airfix FW190 A8 - built, painted, awaiting some aftermarket decals

1/72  Academy JU 87G-1 Stuka - built, painted, awaiting aftermarket decals

1/72  Italieri MC202 Folgore - final touches

1/72  Hobby Boss BF 109G-2 - final touches. Rubbish kit I know, but it was cheap and quick to build as a first victim for my airbrush.

1/72  Italieri B-25G - On hold, pending nose weights and paint

1/72  Academy P-47 - On hold, waiting for paint.

1/72  Academy TBF (TBM?) Avenger - Just started...

This might seem like alot, but I have been on leave for a month, So I have been spending alot of time at my kitchen table workbench.

I hope to get some pictures up soon, and get some opinions on my work so I can suck all the knowledge out of you all.
