Hello!!!
Posted by Afghanvet on Saturday, August 20, 2016 8:37 PM

Hi folks.  I'm brand new here.  I'm a Air Force veteran who's been building models nearly all my life.  I'm currently working on a 1/16 wright flyer from model airways and a 1/24 p51d.  I'll post some pics of the progress as soon as I learn how.  I hope to learn a few things and bs about modeling.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

Hey Kevin,  I worked in cryogenics most of my 8 years.  I filled your lox and lin carts.  Haha.  I deployed twice to afghanistan and to saudi.  I was stationed at keesler, eielson and ellsworth.  We had a10's and 16's in alaska and b1's at ellsworth.  Quick story about 15's....   I was bsing with the a10 crew chiefs and ammo guys when an f15 pilot came running out in a panic saying he had 25 minutes to be in anchorage setting on his couch drinking a beer watching the super bowl. We were in fairbanks.  Anyhow,  he jumped in that thing shot down the runnway and out of sight in seconds.   I dont know if he made it but he gave it his all.  Haha
