Hello everyone! Older guy here also, and nearing retirement. Way back in my early teens I was into building models. I don't know if it was a compation level I was at (probley not) but they were coming out pretty darn good there towrads the end. (The end was when I got married) It was something i really enjoyed and I know I still will :) My first build is going to be a Jeep Wrangler. I got 2 of them. One I'm going to build to look like my new 2017 Wrangler willys edition. (black on black) And the other one I will build it stock.

One thing I have noticed right away is selection on kits have just DIED, at least in my area....everything I want to build is turning out to be a special off eBay, Amazon and a like. Even the the Revel site only has 1 page of cars they offer?!?! Wow!

hey guys thanks for the welcome. got to work on setting up a photo bucket account, if i understand right thats the preferred way to post pics here? murph i guess scale modeling appeals to the nature of machinist, got a plan in my head to make my own photo etch tools, haven't done it yet. anyway, i'll be posting up some questions and maybe some pics in appropriate areas of the forum. dave

Welcome back Dave

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.

hey,

the last time  i posted here was probably around 93 or 94.

got interested again about a year ago, i was cleaning out a very cluttered closet and came across two large boxes with unbuilt kits, i sat them aside told my wife i was gonna try sell them on ebay, little while later i got on ebay to get an idea of what some of them were worth, and done some poking around here. well as you have probably guessed i ended up hooked again.

been lurking around here for about a year now, decided to join again. over last year built a tamiya m1a1, a dml stug and a 1/48 hase f-18e.
currently hve a 1/72 hase f-15 a/c on the bench which ill have some questions coming up.

of the 3 i done last year the m1a1 is the one i'm most satified with. between here and youtube i'm working at improving my skills.
