Hello...
Posted by The Undertaker on Saturday, February 11, 2017 3:24 PM

Hi all, I'm new to the forums here and have recently got back into modelling after a long hiatus. I used to build as a child and teenager (thanks to my grandfather) but it fell by the wayside until now. I'm so glad to be doing it again as it provides me with relaxing personal time that I otherwise don't get. As my budget is limited I'm starting small and I've found really useful tips from these forums when trying to overcome challenges. My only accomplishment thus far is a 1:72 airfix bf109 in desert colour scheme (can't seem to upload a photo from my phone...) and I'm quite happy with it but still have a lot to learn and many skills to learn/hone. I look forward to being involved with a community that shares this passion.

 Thanks.

Hi, Undertaker, and welcome to the forum!

Yup, you definitely need to have a photo hosting site before you can post pictures.  I'm on Photobucket but I believe there are many more others out there like it.  It's kind of a little hassle and I wish there was an easier way but it still works.

Anyway, I'm glad you found your way back into modeling!  It's a great hobby to have for relaxation and a sense of pride and accomplishment.

Also, NEVER be afraid or apprehensive about asking ANY question here!  The folks here on the FSM forum are just about the friendliest, most supportive, group you'll find anywhere.

Best wishes and welcome once again,

Eric

Welcome! Many of us here built kits when we were younger. Loads of good info and inspiring builds in the forum.

Dwayne or Dman or just D.  All comments are welcome on my builds.

Building a kit from your stash is like cutting a head off a Hydra, two more take it's place.
