                        Definitely in the blood! Built my first kit in 63, short gap between 08 to 15! So I've been building a long time!

                        I'm looking for a Super Sherman! I want that before other Sherman projects! That Easy 8 was 1/72, after completion, I want one in 1/35.

                        Love Corsairs.  They come in third, real close, behind the P-40s and 105s.

                        A warm welcome aboard the forums, good that you have the old hobby juices flowing again. My condolences for the tragedy you have experienced, the loss of your dear loved one is unimaginable, but I'm glad you know she's supervising over your shoulder.

                        Your grandson will no doubt have a room chock full of your builds, lucky little fellow. Hope we see some of your builds in time.

                        Shermans rule.

                        Welcome.  I got back into this after a 40 year lay-off, and for the same reason.  Gave me something to do and concentrate on, rather than go nuthouse in the evenings.

                        It's been many years since I posted.  Son took the computer and went away to college!  In 2012 the family bought me a laptop.  Though I subscribe to the magazine, I stayed away!  Stopped building for awhile too.  2008 I built Dale's Monte.  Then the wife and I started traveling.  In 2014 we met leukemia and I lost the love of my life/my best friend!  Towards the end of 2015 I decided to rejoin the human race and the hobby.  I built 2 kits, a car for my grandson, and a 1/72 scale Sherman (my first).  I must say here, I used to make fun of Sherman fans.  I'm a Mustang and Phantom fan with P-40 and F-105 running in second place.  But, I was hooked!!  In 2016 I built 8 kits and rebuilt 5 broken kits that I had stored away!  That first kit of 2016 was an Easy 8 and Shermans are on the wish list!  Have 2 kits completed thus far in 2017.  Currently kit bashing a C-119 to create an enhanced Phoenix!!  Stew Smith is back and my Donna is watching over my shoulder!!!
